If you go shopping and buy Brazilian coffee, African bananas or French wine, you experience effects of global trade on yourself.

Global trade enables extending markets of goods and services, which would not be available otherwise. It helps us acquiring foreign goods, choosing among competitors, which are not only domestic but foreign as well. As a result of global trade, wide competitive environment appears, and sellers try offering more advantageous price to their consumers.

Global trade means exchange of goods and services among countries. This type of trade leads to such state of global economics, when prices or demand and supply depend on events happening around the world.

Global trade gives consumers an opportunity of acquisition goods and services, which are sometimes unavailable in the countries of origin.

Practically any types of products.

Global trade enables more effective use of any resources including labor force, technologies or assets for rich countries. If a country can produce some goods in a more effective way, than some other one, the former is able to sell it for lower prices hence its goods will be of greater demand. And if a country is unable of producing whatever goods or services, it may acquire them from other country, which means global trade specialization.

Global trade stimulates efficiency enhancement, enabling also participation of countries in global trade with stimulation of possibility of direct foreign investments, which are funds invested into foreign companies and other assets.

Like all other theories, the global trade theory has its inconsistencies. While opening opportunities of specialization, global trade imparts potential for more effective use of resources, as well as for development of countries in the sphere of industry and goods acquisition. Yet, opponents of global trade maintain, that it can be ineffective for developing countries. It is obvious that world economics is constantly changing, and, depending on the nature of these changes, countries should undertake appropriate measures to exclude negative influence on their economic situation.
